This sunday was the feast of Corpus Christi, which meant a procession, as well as super crazy hot (in my book), which meant sweating and trying not to pass out.
I willingly admit that I am a wimp when it comes to temperature. Is there a place where it never gets below about 30 in the winter and never above 80 in the summer? I need to live there. It’s not Indiana.
Here’s what I wore, forgetting that we had a procession which involved walking and kneeling and would make me completely regret both the shoes and the skirt.
Shirt: Ann Taylor LOFT
Skirt: Unknown (thrifted)
Belt: Old Navy
Bracelet: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Kelly and Katie (DSW)

1. When’s the last time you got a new bathing suit?
Well, I bought two bikinis for my honeymoon which I would never wear in any sort of public setting, and that was January. Prior to that, probably 2011. I don’t swim much. The modesty issue was always too frustrating, and I’m not one for physical exertion anyway.
My modesty solution came in the form of a tankini from Lime Ricki, which has some of the cutest swim tops I’ve ever seen, a cropped t-shirt from Hapari (like this one but in white), bottoms from Target and men’s swim trunks/board shorts from JC Penny’s.
Ta da! (Photo from like three years ago.) The t-shirt part has started to show some wear, but the rest of it is still in great shape.
2. Who made the last incoming call on your phone?
3. If you receive communion, do you receive it in the hands or on the tongue?
On the tongue. In the Extraordinary Form, they don’t offer it in the hand, so when I started going to the Latin Mass, I started thinking about the reasons behind receiving on the tongue and decided I liked it better.
4. Do you have a tattoo?
Nope. I’m a wimp so there’s no way I would ever willingly inflict that much pain. But if I wasn’t a wimp and actually liked tattoos, I would get a music note on the back of my ear.
5. How many dinner plates are in your house?
Right now I think we have a grand total of ten, not counting the salad plates.
6. Do you have an accent?
My first inclination is to say no, but if I went to England, they would probably say I have an American accent. I try very hard to make sure that I don’t slip into any sort of midwestern twang.
