Forget it, this is going to be the “Wedding Update” edition of 7 Quick Takes because honestly nothing else is happening in my life right now. Except for you know, graduation, and stuff related to that.
I finally picked my wedding veil up from the alterations place after the sixth time. She apologized for all the trouble and didn’t charge me for the changes, so I walked away happy in the end. If it wasn’t a small, family business, I would be tempted to put up a review about my experience, but I would feel bad doing in now when I’ve talked to her six different times.
Our invitation suite has been designed and ordered, now I’m just waiting for everything to come in the mail. Oh goody, I’m so good at waiting!
My reception dress came in (finally!) over spring break and I tried it on with my cream crocheted TOMS that I plan to wear for dancing. Put together, the TOMS just don’t have the same feeling as the dress and they don’t really work together. So now I have to find a new pair of dancing shoes and I have my eyes on a pair of Betsey Johnson sparkly flats.
The men (finally!) got sized for their tuxes and picked out the colors they’re going to wear. It’s only taken them about three months to find a date that worked for everyone! FI wasn’t able to get a darker colored suit like he wanted, but he’ll have a different boutonniere so he’ll still stand out.
I got started on centerpieces over spring break but I’m not done with anything yet, so I can’t show you everything. I can give you a sneak peek of what we’re working on! This is one of the projects that isn’t giving me much trouble. Can’t say the same for some of the other.
Finished up our marriage prep weekend and got our NFP requirement signed off, so in the eyes of the Archdiocese, we’re cleared to get married! If only everything else was that easy.
I had my makeup trial last weekend and I am so excited about my look for the day! Having a practice run was great because I got a chance to see the look and make tweaks before the day of. It made me so glad that I decided to get professional makeup. Sitting there and letting someone else make me look pretty made me feel like a queen. I can’t wait!
Linking up with Jen!
