This is still happening. I just can’t. Someday we’ll make it into the double digits.
I found a great deal on a pair of heels at JcPenny this past weekend, only $4! I guess that’s one reason it’s nice to wear size 6 1/2 shoes! I wore them for a dance last weekend, and my sister can wear them as her bridesmaids shoes for the wedding!
I had a friend date with MOH Blondie for sushi last weekend, and we had a great time trying out some new things! I don’t eat sushi much, so I’m still figuring out what I like and don’t like, but so far, I’ve enjoyed it!
The FI and I attended our last Parish Gala last weekend. It was a Great Gatsby themed event, so we all had a great time putting together our best 20s themed outfits, hair and makeup. I used Pinterest for inspiration of course, and found a great idea for a hairstyle. I used headbands I found on clearance at Aerie and made a simple roll by tucking my hair into the headband. I was afraid it wouldn’t stay up, but it lasted all night, until I started doing swing dancing moves anyway!
After several long weeks of waiting, I finally got my sparkles back all shiny and good as new! We also picked up our wedding bands all nice and correctly sized.
I missed my sparkles.
I had an interview for a nanny position over the weekend and I am extremely excited that starting in June, I will be working for a family with twin girls. They will be 6 mo old when I start. It will keep me busy, that’s for sure, and my mother, who is a fraternal twin, likes to remind me that not only do twins run in the family, but it skips a generation. Apparently this may end up being good practice for me.
I’ve realized recently that I really like Greek food. I had a Greek pita today with gyro meat, tzatziki sauce, cucumbers, black olives and feta cheese. It was delicious. I’ve always been a big fan of feta, and I’ve loved black olives since I was little. I would eat hummus more often as well, but it’s hard to finish an entire container by myself before it goes bad.
