My first dress shopping trip wasn’t a huge success, but I was just starting out with my shopping and eager to keep looking! My next appointment was at Nancy’s Bridal Boutique. I knew they had a higher price range and larger selection than David’s Bridal and while I wasn’t thrilled about paying more money, I knew the dress I was looking for wasn’t going to be a steal.
This time around, I invited all of the female members of my wedding party and my mother! Which adds up to a total of about ten people! It was just a little bit crazy.

When we started looking, I immediately went to the section called “Romantic”. I’ve always wanted something with lace, soft and flowy, movement but not too much poof, and gorgeous details.
I was drawn to this first one because of the swiss dots, but once I got it on, I wasn’t thrilled with the silhouette. My bridesmaids made sure to comment on how small it made my waist, though!
My consultant wanted me to at least try a fuller ball gown to see how I like the shape, but it felt too heavy and I wanted something with a little more movement. This dress also helped me realize that I wanted something with lace that was less dense.
As soon as I put this dress on, I loved it. The tulle was gorgeous and not too heavy, I felt like I was floating on a cloud. That is until I heard the price…it was $500 more than what I said was the absolute highest I wanted to pay. I wasn’t so in love with it that I felt like there wasn’t anything else I could love, so I left that dress in the store and made my plans to continue shopping. Little did I know that the next bridal shop I would visit would be the place I would buy my dress!
