Hi everyone! I wanted to break out of my beauty posts so today I have some recipes from Pinterest. I have all kinds of things pinned but this is the first time I’ve ever actually made something that I pinned. Two of the recipes were a success, one…not so much. But hey, you learn from your mistakes, right?
So the first recipe I made was birthday cake popcorn. Originally found here.
Melt down some white chocolate, add a few heaping tablespoons of cake mix and some sprinkles.
Then you add the white chocolate mixture to the popcorn. Unfortunately, when I was melting the chocolate, it got too hot and started to solidify before I got it over the popcorn. So instead of chocolate covered popcorn, I got popcorn with little bits of cake flavored chocolate mixed in. Oh well, maybe next time it will work out better!
The next recipe I made was 10 Minute Nutella Cookies, recipe found here.
It only required flour, sugar, Nutella and an egg. When I first mixed up the dough, it was pretty crumbly, so I was worried that it wouldn’t stick together. Once I rolled it into balls though, it stayed together pretty well.
I had a few lovely ladies from the Newman Center helping me out with these recipes.
After only about 7 minutes in the oven, they came out looking and tasting delicious! The texture was more of a crunchy type cookie with a slightly softer center.
Last but not least, I made some pizza bites, original recipe here.
You basically flatten out biscuits or croissants and wrap up cheese and pepperoni inside them, then bake for 18-20 minutes. I didn’t get any pictures post-baking, they were gone too fast! Needless to say, these were a hit.
Isn’t it a great feeling to actually do some of the awesome things we see on Pinterest!?
