Hey everyone! Time for a quick update on my week! You can tell I’ve been busy as I didn’t have time to put this post up yesterday when I normally would…things have been a bit crazy around here!
1. I bought a wedding dress!
I bought a wedding dress. You guys, I BOUGHT A WEDDING DRESS. I’m just a bit excited if you can’t tell. And maybe a bit freaked out. Big decision. Big purchase. And one I made completely without any help from my fiancé, which is not normal for me! So yeah, that was a big deal. I’ll link to a more detailed post about the trip.
2. Reception Dress
I’m planning on changing at some point in the reception, though I can’t give many details because I don’t want to ruin any surprises for the guests! I contacted the woman on Etsy who I have intended to buy my reception dress from since I had the idea. I’m very happy because she seemed willing to work with me to customize the fit and modesty of the dress by raising the neckline and such, without much of an additional charge.
3. Bedroom Update
I’m all but finished with renovating my bedroom, everything has been finished and furniture has been moved in, all that remains is for me to unpack and find a place for all of my stuff! I can’t wait to put up photos of the before and after.
4. Lunch date!
I got to have a lunch date this week with my mom, my sister, my MOH and her sister, my ‘bride’s assistant’. We were there to discuss business, the plans for a wedding shower at the end of the summer, but we had a bit of time to catch up on the events of the past weekend.
5. Theater Guild
I joined a theater guild that is being formed at Holy Rosary and I will be performing a role in a one-act play at the annual parish festival. Rehearsals began last week and continued into this week. I’m quite excited with the way it is turning out, even though I was extremely nervous when I actually read through the entire script.
6. Iron Man 3….again
I went to see IM3 again on Wednesday, this time with my three oldest younger siblings and my dad. I enjoyed it just as much the second time around!
7. First Communion Photo Shoot
I finished up the editing of the First Communions at Holy Rosary and uploaded them to my zenfolio website. It was interesting figuring out how to distribute these photos and this was my first experience with Zenfolio. I really like the way I can see who is downloaded them and when, but it is a bit annoying to have to pay a yearly fee to them in order to use their website and then pay a service fee on top for anything you sell. Oh well, it works and that’s all that really matters, right?
Have a wonderful and safe weekend!
