This year, I’m joining Dwija of House Unseen for the 2013 in 13 photo linkup! This was really difficult for me to choose only 13 photos to represent 2013. A lot happens in one month, how can I choose just one photo to represent it? I’m waiting for the 2052 in 52 photo link up so I can choose one photo per week, that’ll be more my style.
January is pretty much how this photo looks: cold, dreary, isolated, yet oh so beautiful. This month, we celebrated our third year of dating and our first dating anniversary while engaged.
The annual Parish Gala is in February, where everyone enjoys good food, good conversation and lots of great dancing!
In March, my younger sister and Goddaughter received her First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil.
Our family photo from Easter morning. I think we make a pretty handsome bunch.
April is craziness trying to finish up the semester with my sanity intact, getting sick over finals and scrambling to reschedule everything before leaving.
May is summertime (almost) and time to remodel my bedroom. This is halfway through the process of stripping several layers of paint off the hardwood floor. What kind of crazy person paints a hardwood floor? It was a labor of love, but the bedroom looks much better now.
June is sleepovers with the bridesmaids, choosing a dress and failing at Pinterest-inspired crafts. Despite the crafting disappointment, it was still wonderful to see all my girls together at least once during the summer.
July is concerts at the park and getting to see the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for the first time ever. Also fireworks, which I failed to capture on camera.
August is packing up and heading back to school for my Senior year. This is thanks to my mother’s boss cramming skills. There’s no way I would have been able to fit all that in myself.
September is picking up my actual real life properly sized wedding dress. Many squeals of delight are to be had.
October is pumpkin spice lattes, homemade and specially designed for being on-the-go. Busyness reigns supreme as classes fight with wedding plans for precious bits of my time.
November is our first wedding shower, with friends from school. I’m forced to sit around and wait for it to start while all my friends are busy setting up. So I do what any other girl would do while bored. Paint my nails!
This photo isn’t technically from December, but I didn’t take any good Christmasy photos in December this year because it was too crazy. I bought this coat at the end of November during a trip to Fort Wayne with some girls from school. It’s from J.Crew, normally priced around $200 and I got it for $36. I debated getting it because I have several other coats, but none exactly like this. It’s the warmest coat I’ve ever owned and now that we’re struggling through sub-zero temperatures, I’m extremely glad I bought it.
So that’s my year in (not nearly enough) photos! One post isn’t enough to keep up with everything that happens in a year, so I hope you keep reading throughout the next year to hear about much more!
