This Sunday was a bit insane for me, trying to cram two photo shoots, Mass, working out and group projects into one day, while having to drive an hour and half in the middle of all that. I keep thinking that I should write one of those ‘day in the life’ posts where I list all of the things I do each day, but I don’t think I have the time in those days to sit down and record what I did!
With all of the things that are going on right now, it’s all too easy to spend the quiet moments in Mass thinking about all of the things on my to-do list and all of the things that haven’t even made it to my to-do list. So I have to make a concentrated effort to pay attention sometimes and it’s really nice when something specific sticks out at me.
This week, it was the Postcommunion verse and it said something about the sparrow finding a home and the turtle making a nest in which to care for her children. It seemed very appropriate given all of the thought I’ve been putting into our new apartment, when we will get to move in, how we will set it up, what we need to buy and so on. It may not be the place where I want most of my children to grow up, but I still want it to be a home.
Here’s what I wore to Mass!
