In an attempt to reconcile the demands of working in a professional business environment and the restrictions of having a small budget for said professional attire, I have been increasingly interested in incorporating the principles of the small-closet movement known as ‘capsule wardrobes’ that is currently sweeping through the fashion blogging community.
Now, I don’t think I could ever restrict myself to a mere 30-something articles of clothing for an entire three months, as my love for color and the demands of Indiana weather require more flexibility. However, I have taken a look at my current fashion approach in order to see how I might improve my experience thanks to these ideals.
I won’t go into explicit detail regarding my current attempts at formulating a capsule wardrobe, that will be another post, but one of the foundations of having a capsule wardrobe is the ability to style the same pieces in many different ways.
This dress is one of my favorite pieces and extremely versatile. With just a few different accessories, I was able to put together seven different outfits using this one dress as a base.
