Why hello November, where did you come from? I think you snuck up behind me while I was busy job searching and vacationing in Wisconsin and enjoying the lovely fallish but still summery sort of weather and now I’m wondering what happened to October.
Good news on the job front, I’ve accepted an offer, now I’m just waiting to hear back about a start date. It’s not my ideal position, so I was hesitant in my acceptance, but at least I’ll have something through the holidays and while I continue to look. The stress of being unemployed is off now so I can enjoy the rest of my non-working days and maybe actually accomplish something!
Actually, I think just preparing for the rest of the year would be a wise use of my time. Between the normal holidays of my birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas, I’ve managed to commit to hosting at least three other events at our apartment and attending one outside the apartment.
Basically, we have one free weekend between now and January. It’s my choleric/sanguine dream come true, but I have to make sure my melancholic husband doesn’t strangle me.
We also have the problem of how to split the holidays between families for the first time this year, so that should be a fun conversation (read: not fun at all). But hey! I already have one holiday outfit figured out, so three cheers for advance planning!
As we prepare to enter this holiday season, I’d like to offer a toast. To all fellow newlyweds; may your decorating styles be cohesive, may your families be understanding and well behaved and may your first Christmas together be a smashing success! Cheers!
Ps. Enjoy some of my more artistic photos from our vacation to New Glarus, Wisconsin, as well as the one of me in jeans, it’s a rare sighting. =D
Pps. Seeing as how my first two photos both include brick, I’m going to go ahead and call this my Theme Thursday post as well. Yay for multi-tasking! Linking up to Clan Donaldson, yo.
