Wow this week has been busy! Some weeks I struggle to come up with 7 things to talk about, but this week has just been packed full!
1. “The Bear”
I may not have mentioned before, but the title of the play I’m performing in is “The Bear”. It was originally written in Russian and it’s very strange. Our first public performance of it is this weekend, Friday and Saturday at the Holy Rosary Italian Festival, so this week has been packed with rehearsals almost every single night. No really, the only night we didn’t have rehearsal was Wednesday. And of course I managed to fill that up with other obligations, but we’ll get to that!
2. Save the Dates
Our save the dates came in on Saturday! I’m so happy and they look awesome! Now I just have to work on getting all the addresses put together and actually mailing them. Oh dear.
3. Pool time!
It’s finally warm enough to go to the pool and the kids I nanny for would love nothing better than to go swimming every single day! This week was the first week we went to the pool and they loved it. I don’t mind, as long as I get my sunscreen on first! What little Irish blood I have in me has certainly manifested itself in my pale, freckled and easily burned skin.
4. Choir Graduation
Not only did I have to perform the show this evening at the Italian Festival, but I had to dash off immediately after to attend my brother and future sister-in-law’s graduation from the middle school part of the children’s choir. My brother, sister (who is also in the choir but not graduating, yet attended because she has a friend who is), future SIL, and sister’s friend, all sat at one table. They all looked so grown up and I can hardly believe it. I remember when I graduated from this choir and boy was it a long time ago! *sigh*
5. New babysitting family!
My one free evening this week managed to fill up because I found a new babysitting family. They just moved here from Arkansas and needed a babysitter for a last minute dinner date. I was more than happy to help out and their son is absolutely adorable! I love working for young couples because I can see myself in their shoes in a few short years. It can’t come soon enough and yet once it gets here will be too soon.
6. Sephora Nail Polish
Sephora was having a sale on their Sephora by OPI nail polish, so of course I had to pick some up! They have some awesome glitter topcoats that I just HAD to have, plus a few ‘bridal’ themed sets that of course I couldn’t pass up, not on sale for sure! My order came in today and I can’t WAIT to plan my Sunday outfit around the color of nail polish that I want to wear the most this weekend!
7. Running With Friends
So, one of my friends texted me and said ‘Hey, you should download Running With Friends’. Well….I may or may not have gone to bed an hour or so later than I intended last night because I was sitting in bed playing Running With Friends. It’s a simple little game along the lines of Temple Run where you run along a path and you have to avoid obstacles, pick up power ups, and not let the thing that is chasing you get close enough to get you! The aspect that Running With Friends adds is that you can compete with your Facebook friends and of course that makes it so much more addictive, because you just have to make sure you beat that coworker or friend who just sent you another game!
