Hello everyone! Happy Feast of the Sacred Heart!
1. Save The Dates!
We finally got our save the dates ordered! Designed them ourselves and ordered them from Vistaprint with a Groupon. We even added a custom Thank You card for an upcoming wedding shower and still only spent about $40. Yay!
2. Summer Baseball Game!
Went out to a baseball game last night with the future in-laws! I’m not really much of a sports fan, but the weather last night was splendid and it was great to just hang out and chill!
3. Clothes Swap!
The second round of our closet swap was just as successful as the first one, with lots of food, fun and fashion! Many thanks to our hostess for the evening, Miss Abigail, for providing a beautiful backyard for us to sit, chat, try on clothes and enjoy wonderful refreshments. We all ended up with a bag (or two) of new things to add to our wardrobes!
4. Lessons in humility.
You know those days, when you think you’ve got it all figured out, and everything is going to fall perfectly into place for you to hop from work to rehearsal to home so you can do it all and make everyone (including yourself) happy….and then the unexpected happens and everything crumbles to pieces.
I locked my keys in my car.
Okay, yeah I’m being a bit dramatic, locking keys in the car isn’t the end of world, but still. It happens when I’m at work, already late for another obligation and about as far from a spare key as I could possibly get. It would be another hour or so before my dad could get there and I could get in my car. Needless to say, I didn’t make it anywhere else that night.
5. It’s June
Seriously, when did June happen? It feels like summer just started and now it’s half over. All the things that seemed so far away at the end of April, like summer outings, wedding showers, the start of senior year, are suddenly only a few months away.
6. Wedding Plans: Moving Forward
The big things have all been taken care of now, with the paperwork for the church having been turned in this week. That means that venues, catering, photography, and the dress have all been settled. I’m slightly freaked out that all this is moving so fast, but more relieved that we won’t be rushing at the last minute and can take time to focus on the tiny details. Of which there are many.
I have finally gotten to an organized enough point at home that I feel like working on some small couponing trips again. I don’t have access to the Sunday paper at school, nor do I usually have the ability to run out to CVS and Walgreens whenever I want, so I usually don’t do much couponing during the school year. But in the summer time, I can hit some deals and stock up on stuff I will need in the fall. Look for some upcoming posts about my couponing adventures!
