It’s been a while since I’ve done a five favorites post, but I have some things that I’ve been loving lately so here goes.
So we got a new car and all…
Guys, I love it. It took me a while because I was all like “It’s a lease and it’s not really ours and we have to give it back in three years so I’m not gonna get attached” and guess who absolutely loves the car? This gal.
I think today sealed it when I was able to successfully parallel park between two cars which might actually be the first time in my entire life. (No, not even in my driving test.)
We have so much in common, this car and I. It’s tiny, I’m tiny. It’s quick and zippy, I’m energetic. It’s sporty…and that’s where the similarities end.
Can we talk for just a second about the fact that it’s called a hydration bottle? For real? What, is “water” not a fancy enough word? Hilarious.
Anyway, my hubby has a thing for Thermos (He’s brand loyal, I don’t ask) and I’ve always complained that they all look too rugged and manly for a feminine-like girly girl such as myself to ever use. He took my comments to heart and bought me a pretty one!
It’s the same style as this one, except white and purple. It’s quite adorable actually and in my two days of using it, I’ve been extremely impressed. I put ice water in it yesterday morning and it was still cold when I got home this evening.
Just be sure to check the inside of the bottle before you put water in it. I didn’t and the instruction sheet on the inside did not add any sort of pleasant flavor to my water, just so you know.
I only recently starting making purchases from Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor LOFT, despite wearing their clothes for years, thanks to Goodwill. Mainly because my clothing budget was about $5 an item.
But, things change and now, with work and all, the less time I’m spending picking out an outfit in the morning, the more time I’m spending making my lunch or some other important thing. Eh, who am I kidding, I’m sleeping.
Enter LOFT T-shirts! Simple colors, soft material and best of all….PETITE SIZES. Seriously though, it makes so much of a difference.
This is a regular XXS.
Looks decent, right?
These are XXSP
OH MY GOSH I ACTUALLY HAVE LEGS!
Okay, it’s not quite that bad, but when you’re as small as I am, a few inches makes a big difference. If my shirts actually hit around my hips, instead of below, the proportions are so much better.
We bought this exact bag at Target, at my specific request because my mother never bought them when I was a kid, only to go home and discover that my new husband (I need a nickname for him…) does not like Jelly Beans! First of all, neither do I but these aren’t just any old jelly beans, they’re jelly bellies. Second of all, guess that means they’re all mine!!
My particular favorite are the buttered popcorn flavor.
Lastly, I just have to mention this amazing blog because I got to meet the beauty and brains behind the blog this evening at Theology on Tap! Nothing like drinking a whisky sour and hearing about a miracle that could help get Fulton Sheen canonized!
Don’t mind me, I look awful and man I need a haircut.
Thanks Bonnie, for sharing your incredible story!
