Hey everyone! Time for another weekly update!
1. Memorial Day weekend!
Sunday consisted of family parties and social engagements. I had monday off work, thanks to the three-day weekend, and took the opportunity to work on moving the rest of my stuff into my bedroom and working on unpacking boxes that have been sitting around since I came back from school!
2. Air Conditioning
My dad fixed the air conditioning in my car, which was amazing and wonderful because the weather has been getting sort of hot and sticky lately. And it was perfect because it was just in time for my mini road trip to school on Thursday…
3. Writing Proficiency Exam
I had to drive to school on Thursday evening to take the Writing Proficiency Exam, which is a graduation requirement. Hopefully the test went well and I got to hang out afterward with a few of my bridesmaids who are staying at school for the summer. It was great to catch up a bit on what they’ve been doing so far this summer!
I’ve been working on editing the photos from Holy Rosary’s Confirmations, but the slowness of my computer is really starting to get to me. It’s hard enough to find time to sit down and individually edit 185 photos, but when your technology isn’t cooperating, it begins to reach the point of frustration. It makes me think that it may be about time for an upgrade.
5. Clothes Swap
While putting all my clothes back into my closet from their various storage spaces throughout the house, I pulled out a good 20% to get rid of. But instead of simply donating them or giving them away, my friends and I have arranged our 2nd annual clothing swap where we all bring a bag (or two) of gently used clothes we don’t fit into, don’t like or are just tired of to trade with each other and find some new clothes! We also bring any shoes, purses, jewelry or gently used makeup that we just don’t want anymore. I’m so excited that we were able to arrange our second one this year, because the first time was such a blast!
I got a new hat! I know it seems like I forgot about my goal of wearing more hats this year, especially after my failed attempt to find a beautiful Easter hat, but I couldn’t resist this gorgeous summer hat I saw at Target this past week in the most beautiful seafoam green color. Stay tuned for photos in an upcoming Outfit of the Day post!
7. Room Decorations
Speaking of Target…I visited my most beloved place to shop this week and picked up some furnishings for my new bedroom. A lamp, shoe organizer, and trashcan were among the things I picked up. Curtains were also on the list; however, the $25 a panel price tag made me reconsider. I think I may be utilizing mom the seamstress for this project instead.
